12 team league, PPR, and I can only keep one player.
Demaryius Thomes - give up 3rd round pick
Jordy Nelson - give up 8th round
Julius Thomas - give up a 15th round pick (waiver wire pickup last year)
I also have the first pick of the draft after keepers and AP, Jamal Charles, and Forte will be available.

This really is a tough decision. I'd probably roll with Demaryous tho. Best player you have at a pretty good value. Charles/AP and Demaryius would give you a giant head start over the rest of the league and you would still have your second to grab a solid RB2 or WR2.

I would gend to lean towards Thomas. Top 3 TE on the 15th round is great value. You can't go wrong with any of the three really.

I'd keep him.

My first choice was Julius Thomas but then I started thinking I like Jordy Nelson much more from a production standpoint than Julius Thomas and I don't put much value in the 8th round pick I lose by keeping Nelson.
I also think the value of Nelson plus my 3rd round pick (which I would lose if I keep Demaryius Thomas) would be higher than Demaryius Thomas.
I could make the same argument for Julius Thomas and my 3rd round pick but it's a little closer, tough call.

Is this one of those leagues where every year you keep someone, the price goes up another round? And you can't keep 1st rounders?
If so, I would lean towards Jordy. I like DT88 a lot more, but Jordy's just got a contract extension and should have a few more good years with Rodgers throwing to him. You would only be able to keep DT88 for a couple more seasons. Besides, you have to factor in the potential that Peyton's production may start declining which affects the value of both DT88 and Julius.
I also think I agree with your logic that (Jordy + 3rd rounder) > (Demaryius + 8th rounder). Although, keep in mind its probably more like a re-draft 4th and 9th rounder since there will be 12 keepers
