I think my hubby may have been bitten by a Brown Recluse on his toe. Severe pain, deep redness, and now (3 days later) a large pus-filled area.

We think it was in his shoe but never saw the culprit.

It looks bad, but he doesn't have any other symptoms. Anyone experience a Brown Recluse bite have similiar symptoms? And did you go to the doctor?

Any red streaks?

Take a marker and mark around the red area watch to see if it is growing. Is there a black spot in the middle?

Three days?

The area around it is gonna rot. Needs some type of antibiotic for infection.

Got bit on my arm. Quarter sized area about 1/8 inch deep turned black and sluffed out. Just watch for infection.

No streaks, but it is deep red. I don't see any black spots.

one got me between shoulder blades on the back when I was a teenager, it turned black and rotted. from what I remember, it was about the size of a silver dollar. funny thing is, I never knew it until my mother screamed and almost fainted!
don't remember any pain, just what the doc said it was. but farm boys got bit and stung by just about everything.

Deaths from brown recluse spiders have been reported only in children younger than seven years.

But go see a doctor.

Get to the dr.
Buddy got bit by something on the arse. It was suspected that it was a brown recluse that was in a pair of coveralls he put on one morning. He refused to go to the dr for like 3 weeks. "It's hunting season, man. I ain't going." That's what he kept telling me. It was staff infection from the bite. Ended up in the hospital for like 10 days then had to do anti-biotics intravenuosly for another week or 2 if I remember correctly.

pics of you

picks of spider bite

and my aunt got but on her foot same way by one, stuck her foot in a shoe and got bit. Rotted a hole pretty good.. he will need antibiotics. Funny thing was about 6-8months later she put her other foot in a shoe and spider freaking bit her again! Not a recluse but some kind of big black spider "non poision" but it also rotted a good hole

im terrified of spiders anyway and to this day i beat my shoes on the ground every time before putting my feet in
