Any of yall been to this venue before? I'm going to a concert there a week from today and I've never been before. I looked over their website but I was curious about the opinions of those who have been.

Saw a show there about 2yrs ago... Very Meh. Unless they have completely redone the interior, the acoustics sucked and the inside of the venue had a very old/outdated feel to it.

If I had to equate it to something, I would say it reminded me of the inside of the river center, on a much smaller scale.

Not sure exactlty what info you need... There's parking connected to the building.. I don't know if you can get it validated, always try LOL.. I went back when it was called the Verizon Wireless.. the floor area is huge for standing, some balcony seating, and it was about as standard a venue as you'll get.. if you go early enough, hit up the Flying Saucer a few blocks away.. that's all I have

Not a terrible venue, there are a lot of decent places that are walking distance to go before for food/drinks too.

I was planning on starting a thread on the food board about where to eat/drink but I'll be glad to hear any recommendations.

And I'm not sure what info I was looking for. Just general impressions I guess. Kinda disappointed after the first reply though. Hopefully they've improved

As long as you're not in the seats, the acoustics should be fine.

My brother brought me to see Breaking Benjamin there when it was Verizon and the acoustics were terrible; couldn't understand a word they sang and the music was garbled.

Saw Foster the People there (now Bayou) a few months ago and we stood further back in the crowd and it was a better experience.

As far as good goes, nothing truly great around there. Steer clear of Little Napoli but if you can tell us where you're coming from or where you're staying I'm sure we can give some suggestions (have a price point in mind?)

Coming from Lake Charles. We know Houston pretty well but we're open to trying new places. I didn't make the hotel reservations but I was told it's walking distance to the show, which Crosby, Stills, and Nash in case anyone is curious.

Solid venue for the Gov't Mule show. Can't speak on a full house.

Been to several shows there, not a bad venue. I've seen Willie Nelson, Weird Al Yankovich, and Black Crowes to name a few. Pretty good place to see a show.
