I'm looking to get nice, glue down hardwood floors installed in my new house. I know I could probably do it myself, but spending that much money I don't want to screw it up. Hopefully the OB has some good recommendations.

just under 1500sqft of wood. I haven't picked out the wood yet, but just found out for 3/4" or thicker wood i'm going to need to build up a sub floor in order to nail it down.

I'm not sure how much you are trying to spend, but Antique Woods of Louisiana in Sunset, La has some pretty awesome stuff.

Go see Sid at Carpet Showcase in Covington and he can sell you the flooring and instal it as well.
