I'm lucky my neighbor hasn't burned both our houses down. She swears every snake she sees in her yard is a copperhead.

Southern men should be able to tell the good snakes from the "bad" snakes.

Long slender tails and narrow heads are a good tell that the snake is harmless.

The ones we really worry about have thicker tails and wider more arrow shaped (in a way) heads.

Yes, I know, to some there are no good snakes except dead ones.
