wow... smh
the last out of the game was a kid who got called out for running outside of the baseline when the Washington catcher never had control of the ball...

I get what you are saying but you said it wrong.
Ump made the call to end the season. Bad call maybe, but you do not make that call with the game/season on the line.

it's like a questionable touch foul in basketball as time expires...
if the catcher had the ball the whole time and could have tagged him, i could see that call being OK, but you can't call a tag that the catcher can't make

He would have been safe had he not fallen. He went out of the baseline after falling. Sorry but true. BTW I hated the way the game ended. It was a great game that deserved a better ending.
