Sure, the Premier League kicks off tomorrow, but here at home, you aren't going to see many match ups better than the two we will get to see tomorrow. American stars will be aplenty and some talented youth and foreign favorites will be on display as well.
First on tap, we've got the 1 and 2 teams in the West, with Seattle Sounders and Real Salt Lake going at it on NBCSN at 1:30 CST. These 2 teams always make for a great matchup and the RioT should be rocking. Seattle is currently 1st in the West, and first in the Supporters Shield race (all of MLS), sitting on 41 pts after 21 games, with a couple games in hand compared to most other teams around the league. RSL follow them, in 2nd in the West and T2nd in the Supporters Shield race, with 39 pts after 23 games.
This game features:
Clint Dempsey
DeAndre Yedlin
Nick Rimando
Kyle Beckerman
Obafemi Martins
Ozzie Alonso
Javier Morales
Joao Plata
and many more
Then Saturday night, you can find me in the Cauldron, as Sporting Kansas City hosts Toronto FC at 7:30 CST on the MLS Stream of the Week. SKC tops the East currently, and is T2nd with RSL in the Supporters Shield race, with 39 pts after 23 games. Toronto has a couple games in hand as well, but are currently 3rd in the East and 7th in the Supporters Shield, with 32 pts in 21 games. As always, Sporting Park will be a raucous sellout crowd and you should definitely tune in, especially if you love good soccer.
This game features:
Graham Zusi
Matt Besler
Michael Bradley
Dom Dwyer
Benny Feilhaber
Aurelien Collin
Erik Palmer-Brown (probably won't play, but a personal favorite)
Jermain Defoe
Gilberto
and many, many more (mostly on the Kansas City side)
Look for me in the Cauldron, I'll be waving a flag.

Watched Houston Phili from yesterday, had some good moments.
Also some stretches of blah.
MLS is gaining steam with me, but the second half of its season generally starts dropping off until playoffs. College football, NFL, and Premier league are all on at the same time and there's only so much time to spread it out to watch these things.
Keep up your MLS informercial though - I had no idea about the sounders game and had just checked my cable guide for MLS games tonight and tomorrow and didn't think any more were on tv this weekend.

Yeah, I gotcha. My MLS fandom (and to an extent, soccer as a whole) has made my following of the NFL go down a lot. Now it's just fantasy football, and hoping the Chiefs do well. Last year, I also watched less college football, and usually just caught Mizzou and whatever SEC night games were on - if MLS wasn't on. I missed the SEC Championship to attend MLS Cup, which wasn't bad considering Mizzou lost.
I would imagine we will see plenty of RSL-Seattle advertising during the PL games today. In fact, I just saw one, but if it were me making that pop-up ad I would have definitely put some head shots of the 4 USMNTers in there. They could definitely use me in the Marketing department.
