Now if they can just do that with the exotics in the next expansion so we don't have to level them up every expansion

Agreed. If this is how they would handle the next expansion, Bungie would avoid a lot of backlash.

The way they did it this time was stupid. If you had the patience to wait for xur to sell the items it was infinitely cheaper to buy with strange coins than to upgrade using the piece of equipment, glimmer and an exotic shard

You need to find a 32 to run you through story on highest possible difficulty for each mission so you get maximum xp and level up really quickly!
