How to delete my Mail.com email account

This email account is old and constantly gets filled with spam. I rarely use it for anything.
I have searched the account up and down and can't find out how to delete it. I have also searched google and all of the threads I have found are old and out of date.
Can someone please help me with this.

Click on Options .
Click on Delete Account .
Click on New in the bottom right of the page.
The Delete Account window is opened.
In the Password field, enter the password of your account.
Click on Delete account .
Important: Deleting your account cannot be undone! All you e-mails and account data will be irrevocably deleted.
