Two Department of Justice “protest marshals” are in Ferguson, Missouri to help train people taking part in demonstrations over the fatal police shooting death of 18-year-old Michael Brown.
This will be used by the WH as a diversion from the running list of domestic and international failures

Probably the same people who trained the protestors during the Martin/Zimmerman trial.

"Two DOJ employees working for the Community Relations Service division are on the ground working with local groups, Knowles told TheDC. The federal agents are conducting training for the groups on best practices for participating in protests. The goal is to “help them to be more constructive,” Knowles said."
I don't see what's wrong with trying something besides the strong-arming tactics that haven't done shite except to ignite the situation more.

the goal should be for them to stop.

So you're not in favor of citizen's rights to assemble in peaceful protest?

People have the right to protest.
Again, try a different tactic to quell what tactics haven't worked thus far.

I am. You should also know how anti-cop I am.
However, we both know the assemblies by the "community" thus far have been anything but peaceful.
Sadly, I wouldnt put it past the Obozo clowns on the ground to continue to stoke the tension in an effort to distract from his failures both internationally and domestically.

Why should the government have to teach them how to be peaceful ?

I think thats the whole point of the training - to "enlighten" people as to how they can feel their voices are heard without having to riot.
i have my doubts it will work, but i think its a noble effort, esp when they work with groups and community leaders.

As usual, the President is playing both sides of the issue and manipulating it to his own ends.

Absolutely.

How is this legal? My fricking money is going to train these protestors?

In your opinion the rioting and theft of sneakers/rims/home goods as well as arson of a convenient store are out of a desire for people's voice to be heard?
Serious question

And yet, Obama has no idea what the actual facts of the case are. Just like he made a fool out of himself on the Cambridge Police matter and the Trayvon Martin matter, I hope this blows up in his face, too.
frick that phony, race-baiting BASTARD.

This.
Considering there are probably 10 threads going on this board about a America becoming a police state, I doubt any politician wants this becoming more of a shite storm that it already is.
This isn't just being talked about on TD.

I don't see the issue with this
They aren't encouraging them to protest, they are trying to control how it happens.
