I saw a man do that to a bird dog that kept flushing coveys before the hunters could approach. He left that dog like that and walked away somewhere in the middle of ranch in Texas.

I was expecting to see a tractor in a tree, similar to Geauxts "Falcon in a tree".

If you saw a man do that to a dog you should have slapped the frick out of him and made him take the dog down.

I would have let the dog lose and maybe put his head in the tree for a while.

I was only about 10 years old... Obviously it was fricked up. I will never forget it as evidenced by the first thought triggered in my mind when I saw this poor deer.
