I loved both of these films as a kid, and I still love them today. I tend to favor Gijoe as the better movie. I think the plot and action is much better, and the music is not as cheesey.

What say you?

By the way, I am watching Gijoe at the moment.

It's hard too say. I loved both of them. I guess I would say Transformers. What I remember most was the toys? Christmas was always exciting.

The Transformers movie was better but overall I was always more of a GI Joe fan.

It's pretty sad I can't think of a single movie based off of an 80s cartoon has not made a good live action film.

Just you wait, OML. They're making a live-action Jem film.

Transformers movie was and still is awesome. In the theater I was pleasantly shocked at how dark and violent it was compared to the cartoon. Saw it a couple years ago and of course the music is cheez and the animation is dated but its still good.

Wasn't Duke was originally written to die in the GI Joe movie? Then the Transformers movie came out first, and the backlash over Optimus' death was so great that they went back and changed the dialog in Duke's death scene to say he was in a coma instead? I'm pretty sure that is right.

Transformers by a mile. Both the tv show and the movie were far better.

I agree, everything about transformers is better than GIJoe. The entire concept of transformers is infinitely more exciting than GiJoe which was kinda lame.

Yes, Duke and several other Joe's were scheduled to be killed as a way to make room for the new Joe team members, but after the transformers movie and the backlash for all the killed first generation transformers they rewrote the script to have none killed and Duke put into a coma. To me the better movie was Transformers.
