Just found out today I got the 1st pick of a $300 auction league. $100 budget

Who would you throw out first?

Someone you want people to spend $$$ on (Charles), someone you don't want (Monte Ball & Doug Martin), a mid tier player to possibly get value for (Ellington)?

Or Gostkowski for $2-3 to guarantee to get him.

I always tend to try and throw out guys I don't have on my board or I'm leaning towards staying away. That way someone is losing some money and I don't feel bad about not getting that guy. Arian Foster, Doug Martin, so on.

I have last pick in my auction league.

Much better than first.

1) you're overthinking it

2) Whoever said Patterson read my mind. I throw him or Sammy Watkins out first every time.

3) Why in the world would you spend $2-3 on a kicker when your budget is $100? In a $200 budget draft, I can see it. But not $100.

Gostkowski was a top 50 player lasted season. A $2 bid will almost get you any kicker because nobody is throwing $3 on him.

I'm not saying I'm doing but I've seen people do it before for top 3 Ks

I'd much rather get players out of the way that I have no interest. My strategy is to reduce other teams' budgets as much as possible while still being flexible enough to pick up bargains where needed.
