The Obama administration has lifted longtime restrictions on Libyans attending flight schools in the United States and training here in nuclear science, according to a final amendment of the ban recently approved by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB).

Less than two years after the deadly terrorist attacks in Benghazi, Libya that killed four Americans, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is poised to sign off on an amendment reversing the ban, which was enacted following a wave or terrorist attacks in 1980s and prevents Libyans from studying these sensitive trades in the United States.

The original law effectively disqualified all Libyan nationals and those “acting on behalf of Libyan entities” from training in “aviation maintenance, flight operations, or nuclear-related fields,” according to the ban.

Is this the same DHS that list returning veterans, Christians and constitutionalists as potential terrorists?

I don't want Libyans here, period ... and, I've felt that way ... way before Benghazi ... it pretty much goes back to when the bastards took out Doc Brown in 1985.

But, I suppose, what difference, at this point, does it make?

Good thing he read Marty's letter.

Is Libya even a country today? I'm dead serious. There is little to no governance taking place there. Are any western embassies still operational?

Seriously, how F*CKED-IN-THE-HEAD is this entire incompetent administration.

Maybe Odumbf*ck should send John Kerry over to Libya with a Hillary Reset Button.

And just when you thought that you had seen the absolute height of stupidity from this administration ....

There is a looooooong list of foreign policy and domestic frick ups under this administration.

The one foreign policy f' up that makes me LOL is Obama's attempt to put a democracy in Egypt. Republics and democracies can't exist where people are incapable of governing themselves. That's the fundamental assumption that is missed with our attempts to spread "democracy". Republics and democracies assumes a majority of virtuous and a super majority of non violet people. The ME is sorely lacking of these type of people.

I get that it exists geographically, but does it have a government? Would the US make trade agreements with what exists today? Is it's territory controlled? Does it issue passports to its own citizen who wish to travel abroad?

I don't know the answer to your questions, but I think we hired the Libyan army to secure the consulate in Benghazi.

The chaos and lawlessness (read "civil war") in Libya would be front page international news almost daily were it not for a laundry list of other countries in even more dire straits. Libya is about to blow up beyond recognition and no one is even paying attention. The bloodshed has been consistent and of the most violent and heinous in nature. No one is in charge, the "government" has no leader and no power, and the army runs away from the sound of every bullet fired.

Virtually all govts. have bailed out of the country, including presences in Tripoli, which was relatively stable even while Benghazi was a perennial clusterfrick after the revolution.

Vietnamese workers are racing to get out of there by the planeload, as are foreign workers from just about every country of origin.

Libya - the next big humanitarian disaster in-waiting.
