Four-star wide receiver Drake Davis looking to land LSU offer

IMO, he is the most physically gifted WR I have seen coming of high school since Julio Jones. I honestly believe he's top a top 10 overall and #1 WR for 2016. Big (6'4-6'5, 210-215), fast (4.35-4.45), explosive (40"-45" vert), and those numbers are from his freaking sophmore year! Louisiana is seriously putting out ridiculous freak athletes on almost a yearly basis. Fournette 2014, (IMO) Guice and Ducre 2015, Davis and White 2016, and Moses 2017.
I mean, it's not fair, but so what

No, not much is common about Davis, who has already managed to rack up offers from major schools like Alabama, Florida State, Miami, Virginia Tech and Maryland, among others.
The rising junior said he was "honored" by his hefty offer list, but he's still holding out hope for his hometown team to join the hunt.
"(The offers) felt good, because they're all big schools," Davis said. "They're all Division I. But I'm still waiting on my top colleges to offer.
"I haven't gotten LSU yet – I'm waiting for that to come."

He's watched 14 LSU wideouts get drafted in the past decade, making that elusive Tiger offer even more desirable.
"It's good because I know LSU recruits big time receivers," Davis said. "If they recruit big time receivers, hopefully I have a chance of getting an offer and coming here. It's definitely a good sign."

So why the hell haven't we offered him yet. Make it happen.

He'll be offered. He has grade issues though. The staff wants to get him to rectify those first.

Staff wants to see if he can keep everything together this school year. If he can keep his grades straight and dedicate himself to football, he'll get his offer.

A great friend of mine was the OC for Dunham last year. To say he enjoyed having Drake on roster is an understatement.

If we land this guy with the receivers we already have committed for 2016 felipe franks get Shea patterson and last years class of WR omg

He will be a good one

He's going to get his offer, but like Shea Patterson, we will play the "hard to get" offer and when he does receive it, all his hard work would have paid off to get his dream offer.
i feel good about LSU with Davis

Needs to prove that he can catch the ball consistently first to be offered at WR. Phenomenal athlete but a work in progress as a reciever. I would personally like to see us offer him strictly as an athlete and then figure out later where he fits but with his size it seems inevitable that he needs to be at WR.

We need to offer this kid. If he's 16 and 6'5" 215 he play WR or even gain 30 pounds and be a Mingo type defensive end. Mingo came in at 18 with the same measurables.

He's the first response on this picture on Malachi's Instagram. Appears to really want to be a Tiger.
Do the link
Edit: Also holy shite he's Lester Earl's son and was once #4 in the world at FIFA on Xbox.

May be why he's struggling in school then.

I was number 4 once too. But that was back before you could play online, so I have no proof.

Lester Earl is only his biological father. He has no involvement in Drake's life.

Don't think he'll be going to LSU. Plus, this kid needs to grow up from what I hear. School is not a priority and he's real immature.

Can't speak to his work ethic in school, but I can tell you he busts his behind at theriots training place.
A true freak athlete

Well there is a reason he's no longer at Dunham and now attending a military boarding school.
ETA: I hope he does grow up while he's at Fork Union. He's got tremendous ability that could allow him to change his life, it would be a shame to see it go to waste.
