How realistic is it? And is it better to sit on the internet or go knock on doors?

TIA

You can find a company that'll take a chance on ya. They'll give you hell about being green though. They all act like they came out the womb knowing that shite

Comparing oil field trash to being a doctor

ETA: How high is your truck and what do you have hanging from the rear bumper

uh what?

I was simply comparing trying to get a job in a field in which you have zero experience. for someone whose name implies they know a little something about writing, you sure don't know what hyperbole is.

Thanks y'all

He didn't ask what oil company he could run, he just wanted a job in the field...Your comparison was poor

Try to be a 'worm.' Watched this show once called Black Gold and that was always the entry level guy. A bunch of old former high school football heroes would give you shite all day while some older guy with emotional problems would mostly try and befriend you. Didn't seem much different than what I would think jail would be like...only harder work.

Good luck.

Pretty realistic in a place called Lafourche Parish.

You give it a good two days of applying and you should find something.

Starting on the bottom will be better than anything in your neck of the woods

I'd go apply in person. I tried the internet thing, along with rigzone. Rigzone wouldn't even show my resume because I had zero experience. Ended up getting a job through the recommendation of a friend.

Drive down to Broussard, LA and stop in every industrial building you see off the main road. I'm sure you'll be able to find something.
