What's the fascination with catching a home run baseball at a regular baseball game? Saw a clip where a guy caught one, pulled a "fake" out and tossed that one back. Really??

Autographs too. Who gives a shite?

I can see maybe kids getting excited, but grown men? I thought the big thing was the rarity of the things. But nowadays there's tons of baseballs being caught at games and star players give out tons of autographs regularly.

First off catching a HR ball is awesome. Chances it came to you
not bumbling the catch? Pretty big deal.

I'm not going to die until I catch a ball. Couldn't care less about some scribble on it though.

That old man made a hell of a catch. I would have kept it too.

That being said my son gets at least 1 ball at every Zephyrs game we go to. The most he has ever gotten was 5. All of those go into the practice bucket.

People Who switch out the ball before throwing it back are scumbags.

Who cares?

Baseball is supposed to be a kids game, but what about when the kids grow up?

My old man is 65 and still goes to games with me on summer trips. He's never caught a ball, and I'm sure he'd love to snag one.

As for autographs...? To each his own. I got Mike Trout's autograph a few years back when he was in Double-A. He was a nice guy and didn't mind soaring a few minutes to talk to fans. It's nice to see some of those guys have a personality.

So like I said...just bc it's not a huge deal to you doesn't mean it can't be for others.

Def less of a douche than you have to be to actually do it.
