the original got a 40% on RT. i know this one is lower, but its not like the other one was heralded as a great movie and it got 2 more sequels. the reason people give it a pass, is because a lot of us grew up on it and love it for nostalgia.
why take that away from a younger generation? its a shameless, fun movie aimed at kids.

That's right. It's a fun movie that the whole family can enjoy. The visuals are stunning and I heard more adults laughing than kids, including myself. It's like people were expecting TDK or something.

It's not really a threatened thing, it's more like a destruction of what they enjoyed in childhood.
I went saw the first one yesterday. It wasn't as bad as I expected, but it really didn't feel like a TMNT movie to me.

Threatened? Not at all. I won't go see it. The first ones were guilty pleasure movies anyway.
Annoyed that another movie company is going to pump millions of dollars into a shitty product when they could be doing so with a better product? Absolutely.
