Some studies are starting to come out saying that those things do very little.

Unless your diet consists entirely of Little Debbies and gas station Cinnamon Rolls.

Now you could do what my sister does everyday and make a shake from natural ingredients. Bananas, peanut butter, spinach, other fruit and some nuts, and ice.

I tried one, and let me tell you, it really purged my intestines for the day.

I've been taking a multi vitamin everyday for the last few years. I'm not sure it makes much of a difference in terms of physical activity but I take it to feed my body extra nutrients I may not get over the course of the day. Shakes would give you extra energy from the natural sugars at least that's how I feel after drinking one.

Avoid multis that have a lot of iodine and niacin in them, otherwise you'll end up with rash balls and strange hives.

My Dr told me you piss out most of what is in a multivitamin. You're better off getting nutrients from real food.

I tell ya what to do.. go to the vitamin store, pick vitamins that target what you feel you are deficient in, rather than taking a multi that is most likely ineffective.

Multivitamins are useless unless you are deficient in particular ones.
I've taken some for months and none for months and feel no different.

Placebo effect probably accounts for 90% of the noted improvements healthy people claim they feel.

Not sure about multivitamins, but I've been having a smoothie every day for about a week with a banana, spinach, oatmeal, and protein powder. It has become noticeably easier to get up in the morning. I rarely ate any raw vegetables in the past.

You should sub out the oatmeal for peanut butter and add some non-sweetened almond milk and it's a whole new world.

Had to have my thyroid taken away late in my 20's, was built at 195 pounds and got so skinny from it overworking I got down to 120 in two years.

Have to take synthetic thyroid hormone and I'm not near 100%. Haven't taken any vitamins in a while. I don't have near as much energy as I used to. To be honest I wouldn't even know what to look for.

I started taking prenatal vitamins before my wedding to help my hair and nails grow faster and kept taking them after the wedding for the extra folic acid (I might be getting pregnant within the year and women should get plenty of folic acid to prevent certain birth defects)

It's also made my hair grow really long as well so I def see a difference
