6'4" 225 4.6
1,917 pass yds
22 TD's. 3 INT
786 rush yds
21 TD's.

Hope Justin McMillan (6'1" 175) is good because Pellerin would have crawled on his belly to go to LSU.
3.6 gpa also. Don't want this one to haunt us down the road.

Neither would likely ever start a game at LSU with Harris, Patterson and Franks

JP is a tremendous player. He will play wherever he goes.

Franks could be lured by MLB...he may never start a game for us either....be careful!

Coaching staff may be waiting to watch his sr season play out. I don't know anything about the individual player; just going off how the coaching staff handles a lot of under the radar players in state.

Did he camp at LSU?

He's not a high MLB pick currently, and even if he did...STILL have Harris and Patterson in front of both. Both of those guys are insurance policy types.

After watching both their highlights, it seems that JP would have the edge overall, but perhaps the staff likes something in particular about JM. The only quality I see McMillan having the upperhand in is speed. Throwing accuracy seems slightly in favor of JP, throwing strength is a wash, but the big thing Pellerin brings is his size and ability to take a hit. He looks more the type of QB LSU has when we won titles. A kid fast enough to run if he had to, but doesn't rely on the run.

There is no way I would ever doubt or question Cam Cameron's recruitment of QBs.

I really like Pellerin, and wanted us to offer him because he has that raw talent and high upside to be an incredible QB. Yes, I do believe he will tear it up at Ole Miss, hopefully just not against us.

Last summer not this summer because he was already committed to Ole Miss.

If he wanted an LSU offer, he really could've helped himself by camping this summer. He's a good prospect, but not a can't miss target IMO. I'm not gonna question Cam Cameron's ability to scout QB's. I'm sure he had a legitimate reason to take McMillan over Pellerin.

A lot can change in two years. No one knows how good of a baseball player he will eventually be.

Sure, but still, once again, we will have 2 QBs better than both.

Attended that camp. Pellerin did not look good. Sears kid from St Paul's beat him out for the QB award. JP was not accurate at all that day. At times couldn't throw a spiral. Sears looked really good. So did Lindsey Scott.

This is something that worries me about Pellerin. Is he even a QB at the next level?

I think he will be. He is definitely very athletic, so moving him to another position is a possibility. He will have his shot at QB though, and he deserves that. He plays other sports. When he focuses solely on football the accuracy should be corrected.
