Album of the year for me, so far. To my ears it's their best stuff since Girls Can Tell.

Haven't listened to it yet... Was kinda bored by their last couple.

I'll try to give it a listen this week

I've definitely enjoyed it thus far, but The War on Drugs is still hands down the AOTY for me.

I started a thread about it earlier in the week, but I think only 2 fricks were given.

Yeah, it's a good album. Possibly in my top 10 for the year.

This is how I feel. I think this one so far sounds better than the last one.

Listening to it now... and one of the things that is consistently good, is the way jim eno's drums sound... love it!

It's right up there with Matt Pence of Centro-Matic (who probably put out my favorite record of 2014 so far)

I'm not a big fan of the new Centromatic. Although the songs do sound much better live.

Just gave it a couple listens and I like it. It's definitely one of their better releases.

It's been in high rotation, along with the new Reigning Sound and Spider Bags records... I love it. Also, the reissue of Redo the Stacks on vinyl is a must buy..

I will miss Will when he comes to NOLA on Sept 8th, due to travel

Spoon's new album is good but Lost in the Dream still takes the cake on AOTY

It's a Spoon album. Every one of their albums are really, really good, but none of them are truly great. They are super consistent, which is sort of unappreciated. They are one of the few great bands in which no one can agree what their best album is. There's about five contenders.

I don't dislike War On Drugs, but I don't get the hype. Though its been a down year for me, so its still a contender for AOY.
