I'm interested in seeing what's out there but I've been at the same place for the better part of a decade. I've moved up through my current employer but I want to see what else is out there.

Had my mortgage loan originator license, with experience in broker and in-house real estate finance along with more recent business analyst and project management experience as well.

Resume is ready. Does anyone have a suggestion?

Are you on LinkedIn?

I joined LinkedIn after 5 years experience in my field, and received a ton of emails from recruiters. Just started my job this week thanks to it.

Yes but I'm not active. I am also networked with many current coworkers and others in my supervisory chain. I know fairly little about utilizing it as part of a work search.

If you have any managers on Linkedin they'll become suspicious when you start linking up with recruiters and such. I keep my linkedin up to date all the time and use it like most people use Facebook. My manager has asked about it and I explain I do it to network with peers in the industry.

I would start slowly utilizing Linkedin if I were you. Fill out your profile all the way and perhaps start following people/companies in your industry as a news feed. I get several feelers weekly concerning job offers from Linkedin. Good to keep the options open.

Most recruiters for white-collar jobs don't just recruit for one city, state, or even region. The best way to find recruiters that have contracts with companies in your desired industry is to search the job boards for jobs in major metro areas like Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, etc. Find the headhunters advertising desired jobs in those metros and get your resume in their hands. When They have an opening around BR, they'll already have you in the system. Good luck.

You really don't want to be included in the 12/31/14 stock market prediction thread, do you?

One of my customers is "The Eastman Group" on jones creek rd. All I know about them is that they are recruiters.

My experience with recruiters is they mainly specialize in certain fields. You mentioned a bunch of things but didn't really pin down what you want to do. Unless I missed something
