Every so often, I get a song stuck in my head even though I dont hear it. It can be from a variety of reasons, being I read the lyrics somewhere, or I see a word that I can associate the song with.

Later in the day, could be any part of the day, I will hear that song being played in a totally unrelated way.

Does anyone else have this happen to them? Are we percieving the future in some small way? Can we hone these skills to predict the future?

Or are the aliens fricking with us?

I do the same thing with TV episodes. I will be thinking randomly about a particular television show during the day, and then that night while flipping channels it will be on.

wish I'd think of something useful like powerball numbers

Thats what I was thinking! This blows my mind. I feel like we could make better use of these powers.

How many times do you get a song stuck in your head and then you don't hear it that day?

Thats not the point. Of course its mostly pure conicidence, but the fact that it occurs often enough for me (or others) to take notice makes me think that our brains work on a level we can not fathom.

Same thing happens to me, I'll be thinking about stop signs and then within like a day or two there's a stop sign on the road!!! It's insane!!

Our brains take notes of things we may have noticed unconsciously and every once in awhile our brain will remind us of said note. In other words you aren't telling the future as much as you were already informed of what will happen.

I used to be able to know who was calling me on the phone without looking at the caller ID more often than not. Strangely, it only worked for land lines. It doesn't work with cell phones.

Sometime's I'll get a boner for no apparent reason during the day- like out of nowhere- and then later that night, without fail, I'll jack off.

Are these obscure songs? I don't think it qualifies as a psychic power if you sing "I'm so fancy" to yourself in the shower only to hear it on the radio later that day.

But on a number of occasions I have had a feeling like I had done exactly this same thing before, call it déjà vu. It's not seeing the future so much as an odd feeling like this is very familiar or that I knew that would happen.

They can be any song. Obviously one that I've heard at one point, otherwise it wouldn't get stuck in my head to begin with.

déjà vu.

I thought about that too...but the two events are totally unrelated, so I don't get that "déjà vu" feeling. Therefore, leading me to believe I can litterally "hear" into the future.

I'll do that when listening to the radio. I'll be listening. To a song, and be thinking I'd really like to hear this song, and it will play next.

Happened enough that I noticed it.

For example, wanted to hear Renegade by Styx one day. It was the next song played. I listen to that station all the time, and it is hardly ever played (probably heard it 3 times over 4 years)

Eta: obviously it is probably more coincidence than anything else, but still cool when it happens.
