Weather looks good, tide moving a foot...

Gotta go find em.

Looks like we won't get down until Friday evening. Will search for trout of course. Any tips or reports welcome. Last time I was down was a rainy weekend and caught some keepers along the small islands on the north end of Pelto.

If the water is as smooth as it was in Venice last weekend, I'm tempted to run out to some of the first rigs... Any chance of some lemons, or snapper there? How far out past Last Isle would I need to run?

Who else?

I'm going. I've heard good things all over from timbalier to coon point. I also plan on hitting the rigs for mangrove and cobia if the old men I'm with are up for it.

Might also run to mardi gras. I'll decide when I get out there.

If you guys ever need 1-3 folks to join you in the big boat to help with expenses, keep me in mind.

I'm can tie a line, have a few rods, kinda smartass, and I'm real good at drinkin beer.

We just got back last night. 4 guys and we caught 80 keeper specs before lunch. All in the Bay on birds and reefs. Tiger bait Matrix shad is what caught them.

I wish I could tell you what rigs we are at last weekend. We saw cobia at every rig we pulled up to. I wish I would have some people with experience on the boat

From what I'm hearing , the specks are on this weekend. Im working saturday, but if the report is good enough, i'll head that way Saturday night. I need a good trout bite.

My buddies assured me this morning that all this no speckled trout BS is just that BS. Said 100-125 trout a day was the norm in Cocodrie, not the exception and the grand isle guides just don't know how to fish.

Fished all day in the timbalere area, calliou island, brush and bird island and cassette. Good looking water and good movement but no fish. Threw artificial, live shrimp, live minnows and just about every depth. Can't explain it- just was not our day.

Hope others did well
