Solo acoustic set. His story telling / comedic timing was top-notch.

And the songs and music were excellent as well.

Yeah, I moved here about 2 years ago: Smith's Olde Bar, Terminal West, Variety Playhouse, Buckhead Theatre, the Tabernacle, Music Midtown, Peachtree Tavern (now gone) plus a few trips to Georgia Theatre in Athens. Quite frankly, for live music, it beats the hell out of Covington (LA)

No. I did catch them with TT at HOB-NO a few months ago. BJ said they'd hit Atlanta again in November, so I'm hoping I'm in town for that one.

On my radar in the next 8 weeks: JJ Grey & Mofro, Josh Abbot Band, Nikki Bluhm and the Gramblers, Big Freedia.

I enjoy the energy. Several years ago I stumbled onto a Freedia show at Voodoo Fest. The energy was outstanding. I'm not much on listening to Freedia around the house, but I do enjoy his shows.

There's a great pic of Freedia and me (FB) on the track at Jazz Fest after his show at the Congo Square stage. He's a fairly big dude.

Plus, I'm repping the 985 ... Tchefuncta Club, y'all get back now. Beau Chene, y'all get back now. Sanctuary, y'all get back now, arse everywhere, arse everywhere.
