Why didn't he get any playing time towards the end of the season last year?
I thought he was projected to be one of the greatest LB recruits LSU ever had.

Hard to get on the field as a freshmen when you already have a GOAT on the field in Welter.

Couldn't figure out where to play him. I hope they figure it out this camp and let the man ball out. The size listed for he and Garrett is crazy. Both are over 240lbs.

because he was 3rd string at both MLB and DE. Chavis' LBs generally don't play much as freshmen anyway. I'm sure there are a couple of exceptions, and Garrett may be one. 2012 was kinda fluky with Welter and Tahj's suspensions and the injury/ illness to the other kid.
