I have used Firefox for years. I also use Chrome, so please don't answer with "use Chrome"

Anyway, since I put in a new SSD the other day, Firefox is crashing on me frequently where it never did before. Is there maybe a driver I didn't download that would make this possible? Or is anyone else having FF crash on them lately?

ETA: I should add that it is happening with websites that have lots going on, graphics, etc. I can't get this site to open on it, but it's fine on Chrome, this is a 3D climb on Mt Everest

Any ideas?

TIA

I used it a lot until recently. Had a lot of problems with TD in particular.

Never happened before this weekend when I put in a new SSD. Anything you can think of that could cause that?

No, I typically stick with chrome for that reason.

It's all I use because I had some issues with a Chrome update and never went back.

No crashes here.

I think it updated recently so my only thought is you have an extension that doesn't work with the recent update.

Otherwise I got nothing for ya.

Yeah, I checked and the only extension I have is Adblock Plus. I have some plug ins like Flash and Silverlight

See if it has something to do with the older Nvidia drivers you installed from the Dell CD. Try disabling hardware acceleration.

In the Firefox options menu click the Advanced tab, then select General

You should see the Use hardware acceleration when available check box. Uncheck it. Then restart Firefox and see if it affects anything.

Yeah, I was wondering if NVIDIA had any issues since it did show under plug ins. Ok, did that and now the 3D Mt Everest didn't crash it

What did you have me do there?

Thanks
