This is a guide to help you accurately define the extent of trashy an individual is likely to be based on how they choose to accessorize their heads.
Tier 5 (Not Trashy) - No hat or fitted baseball cap that isn't a flat bill.
Tier 8 - Adjustable / one size fits all cap. Come on, you can afford to get a cap that fits your head.
Tier 3 - Visors. What's your frat level today?
Tier 2 - Flat bills or affliction hats. No more needs to be said about this one.

I like what you're doing with the tiers, but the substance is all off. Clearly the "not trash" tier consists of old school visors and adjustable hats. Fitted hats are the first step on the road to trashy headwear.

There are posts that make no sense and then there are posts like yours....that make those posts seem coherent and well thought out.

Now everyone just needs to start making adjustable, unstructured hats in performance materials (synthetic). When that happens, we'll have reached the golden era for hats.

What tier is this?
(And yes.. It's almost identical to the one I wore into work this morning.)

All those hats are so tacky, I much prefer a fedora. It harkens back to a classier time, and really pull any outfit together. I have a pretty big collection of them so I can match any outfit.
