Obviously it wont be like last year's.

I expect it to be run heavy with a lot of play action mixed in with some deep throws to dural and dupre. Sort of like what we did in 2011 with Jarrett Lee and Reuben Randle, especially if Harris wins the job. Definitely some read option type stuff sprinkled in every now and then. Some quick and short stuff when we do throw the ball to build the confidence of the young QB's.

what do y'all think?

That sounds just like last years'

I honestly don't think it'll be much different. But we will run a few read option plays and use Harris or Jennings mobility to escape a pass rush.

it'll be more spread out than last year with a mobile QB if I had to guess. more 3/4 WR sets maybe?

I don't want to run a pure spread option but I'm sure we'll run it a few times a game

We could run Malzhan's offense for sure.

Look, if we put Russell Shepard back there and run zone reads with Trindon behind Ben Wilkerson at tackle with the occasional bubble screen to Doucet... 15-0.

Lots of running and QB draws along with some bubble screens and short out routes. Some over the top throws but they will be few and far between. I think we are going to see a defensive, ball control, field position team this season with two QBs who are very young and inexperienced. And brand new starting WRs as well.

Not a huge JJ fan, but he did help LSU beat the gumps a few times.

By whatever means necessary imo.

It could, but I doubt it. We have a much better OC now. That said, I have more faith in Harris than Jennings. AJ looks like a JJ clone to me. Harris is supposedly a pro-style QB who just happens to also be mobile. I really think we need that to be successful. If we end up with a true "dual threat" QB, i.e. marginal passing abilities, I think we will struggle regardless of how mobile he is.

I think the scariest idea to most fans is indeed having a QB that poses no pass threat. That just allows the D to load the box. Even with our stanch OL and elite corp of RB's, we can still be simply outnumbered on the line of scrimmage and make things rough as hell.

It's imperative LSU play's the QB who poses the greater passing threat, and I'm sure Cam will do just that.

if people think cam won't let these qb's throw the ball, I think they are highly mistaken...
