Do you or your wife/husband do this? I saw a show on tv about it and I want to get started but I do not know where the best place to start is.

Thanks

If I was 82 and retired, I would probably do a little couponing...

But no I do not coupon... Except bed bath and beyond and the shoe station. Only dumbasses don't coupon for those two places.

If they attach it to the product or shelf, yes, if not, I don't think it's worth the time. You'll either spend a ridiculous amount of time chasing deals that you could have spent more productively, or you'll get really good at it and save tons of money buying stuff you'll never use. There's a reason why every person on those couponing shows has their own Quickimart in the basement.

I use a coupon every now and then but it doesn't control my life like some of those insane women on those retarded tv shows.

My wife does it. Every Sunday I go buy her 4 newspapers and she will clip coupons that evening and go buy groceries on Monday. An average week will see her buy about $300 worth of stuff and pay anywhere from $20 on the low end to $150 on the high end. It all depends on what we need and what coupons are available. In addition to this where she buy's groceries (Win Dixie) has a rewards program that gives you a certain percent off gas at Shell stations based on how much you spend. After buying groceries she can fill up her Tahoe for as low a $30 sometimes.

I believe Spicy Stacy is the resident couponer on here. Maybe she will show up.

I have never clipped a coupon or used one. Stacking and planning coupons is a woman thing for families that have a tight budget or 6 kids.

I tried clipping coupons to save money.

Quickly found out most of the coupons were for crap I never buy so stopped.

Nope. Not even close. I make exactly twice the median household income in my state and my wife is a stay at home mom.

Yeah I guess if you have kids that eat all that crap then sure you save money.

Every now and then I found stuff I actually buy. But is the 2 coupons I found to use (that saved me a whooping $1.10) worth all my time looking through coupons in papers and online.....nope.

We used to, and saved a lot of money. It takes a lot of time to do it right, though.

you have to do it religiously and buy shite you'd rarely use for it to be worth it.

you see the extreme couponers on tv and they all have 40 bags of diapers and shite.

Yeah those people are just another form of hoarder.

I mean....do you really need a bunker in your basement with 500 rolls of toilet paper and 146 toothbrushes?

I know many donate that to shelters and that is cool, but I still think it's just a form of hoarding that is more acceptable to the public.

Just like everything, you can go overboard with it. The way my wife does it is she looks for things we actually use and then uses the coupons for that. For example, I've got probably 15 cans of Edge shaving gel under my sink and at least that many tubes of toothpaste and sticks of deodorant. But she will not buy any of those items again until I start running low on them.

you gotta know when to stop. it's the moment right before you become a doomsday prepper.

If doomsday came, we'd be good for probably about 2, maybe 3 weeks but no more than a month. Past that I'd have to start killing off neighbors and taking their stuff.
