Just bough my first Android phone

Should I root it? what are the positives that come from this?

I lost my 5s 2 weeks ago and just replaced it with an m7. I love it. Will never go back to iOS.

I can't help with rooting because between that, flashing it and switching kernals, I get overwhelmed and won't bother.


Now if you want me to share some apps, I can do that.

I would recommend against rooting, at least at first

I used to root my phones when I first began buying androids. I don't anymore, haven't for at least three years. I can do what I want and need to do without rooting. You may find the same to be true.

If not you can always root later

What's the negative side of rooting, does it glitch like a jailbroken iPhone

No, not at all.

The downside would be your warranty is void but that has never been an issue for me.

It opens many doors you wouldn't normally have available. The numerous reasons have been listed many times but Gizmodo and Lifehacker have decent write ups on it.

Not really. It's very easy to return it to factory settings
