I was thinking my hunting camp but she shot that idea down

I would find a plantation home or something like that...I have attended a few similar and they turned out very nice...

A local botanical gardens is a good option. The town where I live has a nice wedding area there and it is pretty reasonable to rent the place.

Plantation home, botanical garden, nice hotel/resort. Some of the museums here in Louisville now have setups where you can get married/have receptions. Same with the Palace Theater.

On the LSU lake in front of Lod Cook. There is a nice area.
