Roger Goodell defended the NFL's two-game suspension of Ray Rice, saying that domestic violence is "not acceptable" but emphasizing that the length of the ban is "consistent" with other punishments issued by the league.

"We have to remain consistent," he said. "We can't just make up the discipline. It has be consistent with other cases, and it was in this matter."

Watch him hammer Greg Hardy because of this backlash. Hopefully somebody will ask him about consistency then.

slaping a ho does not give any player an advantage like peds and such.

slapping a ho will not put anyone in danger if you are driving "except the ho of course"

slapping a ho first offense is nothing like multiple drug offenses.

His 2 games is plenty, now if he keeps slapping hos im sure goodell will increase the penalty each time

Can't stand Goodell
Hope his reign as commish is short
He did something to the Saints that every team in the league was doing, bounties were part of the NFL for decades and to penalize the Saints the way he did, all the other coaches and players were behind the scenes laughing

Boi? No way Gordon caught with drugs Throw the book at him. and then DUI Toast him

Goddell missed the boat on the Ray Rice incident. Should have made an example of him and given him 8 weeks. When DUI or jaywalking gets 4 weeks and Rice gets 2 weeks, something is screwed up.

Let's see him throw the book at Jim Irsay. Equal treatment

he barely tested positive. Goodell has a shot to make it right.

Why? Because if Gordon is banned a year, he's going to get buried again. There's no way anyone can justify him getting popped on a technicality and sent packing for a year when a dude decks his wife and drags her out of an elevator by her hair and only gets two games.

My wife was at a convention in Chicago this week. Goodell was guest speaker. He did a Q and A session and a woman asked him about the Ray Rice suspension and how it was not an appropriate discipline for what happen. All he said was "no comment, next question".

Hate Roger Goodell with a passion.

It's astounding to me that Goodell has any amount of credibility left.
