For me:
- Show that we have enough passing to keep teams honest on D.
- Strong-to-dominant play up the middle on D (from DL-to-S)

When I see those, I'll be confident that '14 could be a special season.

If we lose by 30 in week 1. It's gonna be a bumpy ride. If we win by 30. It could be special.

The Auburn/Florida road trip will be a huge test for our young guys. We have the talent we need for a special season, it just needs to develop. Get through the Florida game without a loss, and I believe we can do great things.

If we lose to Wisconsin it could get pretty rough. The back to back road trips to Florida and auburn will tell us a lot about this team.

Well we can definitely know whether it'll be bumpy early on.

Establishing "special" will be more difficult.

One thats being overlooked in this category is the Miss State game.
1st how the Wisconsin game goes, then get some experience with a few cupcake teams. But after those few is Miss State. That can be a moment to see how they've stepped up too.

Well, considering that every year besides 2011 (albeit that sesaon ended with the biggest bump of them all) has been a bumpy ride, I'll just assume that trend continues until I'm proven wrong at the end of the season.

We'll be fine as long as we beat Wisconsin. Don't care how we look doing it, but that game sets the tone this season.

We should be able to run the ball against Wisconsin with relative ease. If'n that doesn't happen, I'll worry a bit.

We're in such a perfect spot. It's going to be a special year for our program. Really believe that.

Agreed. If we can slow down their great running game, we can slow down anyone's, including Bama.

Jennings will be given every opportunity in the Wisky game to make the throws to keep the D honest. We'll see.

When we make it out of Fall practice with our OLine uninjured and no one in trouble on that night between the end of Fall Practice and game week.

My main fear is how well we can defend the run. Period. Three teams in particular:
- Wisconsin
- Auburn
- Alabama

I think that is going to be the #1 factor in determining where we stack up at the end of the season.

You can quiet your concerns right now. Welcome to reality. This season will be a very bumpy ride. Think back to young Jordan Jefferson days. I expect our D to be a bit better but not much. With a new QB ( honestly neither one is a J Winston) and new receivers our Offense will be nothing special. LF will be a good back but will struggle with inexperience. Miles will bring him along slowly during the non SEC games getting him ready for SEC play. TM will be our best Back early on. With our lack of a passing game every team will stack the box and our run game will struggle.
Our best hope against Wisconsin is the fact that they are as green as we are. I still expect a tough game that goes down to the wire.

Yup... real dependent on the Oline though. If they are playing well together our backs will find the holes... Run that clock! 70:30 Run to pass ratio
