Possible CL scam?

Buddy listed boat on Craig's list. Guy texts him from michigan. Says he wants boat and is putting money in pay pal and will arrange transport. Sound like hoax?

Definitely sounds legit....now I got get back to replying to the this email about claiming my inheritance from a dead relative in Nigeria.

Tried to sell a car on CL once. Out of the 14 emails I got, one was an actual person, and it was a low-ball offer. I just said frick it and traded it in.
