if u mean real life..no.. in madden also no, injured players are still usable in the game. if they are suspended it depends.. like ray rice will be in the game but blackmon probably wont.

Update for those who havent followed the madden ratings:
Drew Brees 96 OVR (#3 QB)
Cameron Jordan 93 OVR (#5 DE)
Jimmy Graham 97 or 98 OVR.. i forgot (#1 TE)
They also mentioned Byrd and Vacarro as the best defensive tandem in madden 15 so expect Vacarro to be in the top 5 or close to it for SS.

I think Byrd may have a slight edge on instincts on Thomas IRL, but Thomas is more athletic, so I'd had to put him first.

play recognition and zone coverage are heavily weighted for free safeties.. since byrd has the highest in both he is better.
