The sooner you realize this the better you will feel about politics and get a better understanding of how things operate

Yeah, no shite.

But both sides are EXTREMELY good at convincing you they are different from the other and the other side is evil.

Pretty much this

But I'd rather go full speed than at cruising speed, that way you can crash and hopefully rebuild and change directions sooner

If you real think the country would not be different with Romney at the helm, I'm not sure what to tell you.

Would it be different? Probably

Would the difference be enough to change the short and long term trajectory this country is on and reverse the growth of government? Not a chance

Man I've never heard this before or seen it posted here before. My eyes are suddenly open!
Sorry, had to vent with sarcasm. It is very disheartening.

This. Romney would slow rate of the decline for sure, but he would never reverse it.

There would be two huge positive differences in a Romney presidency compared to what we have instead:
Less militant heads of regulatory agencies.
Better leadership on foreign policy.

Spending, taxes, social issues, ect would all be about the same.

Yes because regulatory agencies has brought this country to its knees.... Oh wait... The lack of strong regulatory agencies brought this country to its knees in 1988.

Agree completely. It's not like Russia was invading countries before like Georgia, and Israel has never launched an offensive against Gaza, and NK never made empty threats and Al Queda never attacked our country before and the Taliban has never taken over a country prior the this time.

The only difference bw Romney and Obama are judicial appts. In fact Reps coauthored a Romney/Obamacare like bill in 1987. LINKRomney would have been too happy to champion it.

There might be. Certainly the economy, employment, and tax structure might be better. The scab of IRS malfeasance would have been unroofed. The DOJ would be enforcing immigration policy. etc.

Romney would be an improvement. The question based on his campaign ineptitude, is how effective he would have actually been.

I hear this bullshite all the time.

If you cannot see that there are vast differences between the agendas of the two parties then you are incredibly stupid or trying too hard to be philosophical.

Do you think the two use the same campaign tactics?

Do you think the two have the same vision for America's future?

Do you think the two have the same economic philosophy?

Do you think the two have the same foreign policy goals?

Do you think the two have the same immigration policy?

Dio you think the two have the same demographic appeal?

Do you think the two use the same logic in formulating their goals?

Do you think the two knowingly lie to the public of the same extent?

Do you think the two parties rally around their imbeciles to protect them to the same extent?

NOW - are there political realities that the GOP has to deal with to avoid getting swept away by the current culture fomented by the media? yes - I wish they could stick to fundamentals and say to hell with political correctness - however this would be suicide in today's political climate.

Have GOP made mistakes? - hell yes - name me a mortal person who hasn't.

Have the GOP not accomplished all they should? - of course they haven't. I'll never forgive our recent GOP presidents for actually trying to work with DEM congresses instead of playing hardball - like all DEM presidents do. GWB had a GOP House and Senate for two years - I wish he had rammed thru some 'save the nation from DEM excesses' legislation in the same manner that Obama did with ACA.

Saying the two parties are 'the same' is the stupidest shite ever. What you are saying is that they must both appeal to big buck fundraising activities for their campaigns. Big f'ing deal. Wish they didn't have to run billion dollar campaigns but the real world is calling.

Clinton was forced to deal with Gingrich you retarded frick. He didn't 'come across' willingly. He was dragged screaming and kicking. However he did relent, which saved his presidency, Unlike this current dumb frickobama.

You are the dumbest frick on the board, you dumb frick. Go back to slobbing O's knob.
