Everyone knows that they've sucked for many years, but I just went to buy tickets to a $15 event that has fricking $10.30 in Ticketmaster fees PER TICKET added on top. That's roughly 67% of the original ticket price added on top of the ticket price.

What the frick could Ticketmaster be possibly doing that is so important and time-consuming that they need to be making this much money per every ticket they sell? They must be one of the most profitable companies around.

Did you get the tickets mailed to you? I know there is an extra fee for that.

Nope. That's before any kind of shipping charges.

I hate them. Shitty website. High fees. It's ridiculous that they have such a chokehold on the market.

I saw Peter Frampton is coming to Shreveport. I was interested until I saw TM was selling the tickets. Never mind.

frick ticketmaster. I'm convinced that broker sites like stub hub and some eBay sellers are in cahoots with ticketmaster. I think they allow people on stub hub to buy them up and scalp tickets.

Recently purchased tickets to Raw through Ticketmaster, this was my first experience with it.

It was not nearly as easy as I thought it was going to be.

I used to work at a live entertainment venue that had a ticketmaster. Would you believe they are just as awful on the client side as they are on the consumer side?

frick you...I tried to get tickets to the JT concert the day they came out....sold out. I pay a premium for them on stub hub. Get an email today from ticketmaster saying they have extras for $70 less per ticket. I don't want to hear about your meesley $11

ETA: the concert is this Sunday. They waited until 3-4 days before the concert to release the tickets

Surprising how artists rant and rave about every social issue in the world, yet few to none fight ticketmaster.

Pearl Jam tried fighting them in the mid 90s. It didn't last.

Buy your tickets at the venue. Most do not charge the TM service fees. Also, the venue will get their cut of the service charge too so maybe mention that when you buy your tickets. I've worked for TM a few times in the past and don't generally have a problem with what they do but some of the venues, promoters and fan clubs will add charge after charge that no one knows about. It just gets added into the service charge.

They already own TicketsNow which is a ticket resale website. There is no question that Ticketmaster scalps their own tickets both on Ticketmaster and TicketsNow.
