I'm thinking about getting back into PC gaming and have grown tired of the FPS shooters on the console. I used to play civilization and railroad tycoon back in the day for the pc but thats been like 10 years ago. Can you guys recommend something really good! I have a top of the line pc with high end graphics card and plenty of ram so no worries there. Thank you!

I really enjoyed R.U.S.E. It is a WW2 period game.

You can get Civ 5 and all expansions for $50 on Steam, and I think it's worth it.

Strategy games are games that never lose their appeal. FPS get old because it's always the same mechanics.

Strategy always change.

I've been playing SC2 for 4 years (they recently had their birthday) and each and every match I play is new. And the arcade games are solid. Hell, I've said this many times, the arcade games are worth it for the cost of the game. the tug of wars and TD's are amazing.

If you like playing baldur's gate, I recommend getting divinity original sin. For strategy games, I recommend total war:medieval 2 (total war: Rome 2 is a money pit b/c all of the dlcs) and age of wonders 3.
