Any foods you're allergic to that you really like?

I love pecans, walnuts, cashews, etc. and I can't eat any of them. Last time I accidentally ate pecans I was coughing, wheezing and swelling up within a few seconds. Same with avocados, bananas, carrots (raw) and some others.

Absolutely sucks. I'll risk it every now and then if something just looks way too good, but even then I'm tasting like a quarter of a teaspoon.

At 18 I developed an allergic reaction to shellfish. At first, it wasn't bad. I could eat a half a shrimp po boy, foods stuffed with seafood, but never crawfish. Then, it got so bad I couldn't even shake hands with someone who had been eating crawfish.

Honestly, I never missed the boils as much as I did the things like stuffed artichokes, seafood cannelloni, creative sauces, etc.

About 4 or 5 years ago i started exposing myself to it more and more and now I am good.

Now, I don't even really have any cravings for seafood anymore. If I am at a po boy shop I'll opt for roast beef...I enjoy taking a bite of my wifes but having to be so far away from it for so long really changed my desire for seafood.
