Never been, but I read that Shawn's Cajun Specialty Meats down the road in Delcombre is pretty good.

I've never been but Legnon's has a good rep for boudin. It's on Jefferson terrace.

for lunch, Victor's is nostalgic and serves a decent but overpriced plate lunch. Cafe Des Amis has a great shrimp poboy and gumbo. There's also a new "cake" shop that does a limited but excellent lunch. There chicken salad sandwich is da tits and so is there crab bisque and gumbo.

Overall, Cafe des Amis probably has the best quality and quantity on their menu, it just depends on what you're hungry for

Get some boudin at Legon's then head to Bon Creole for a shrimp or oyster po boy and a cup of gumbo.

Bon creole is good. but you smell like a grease fire when you walk out.
