He's definitely my favorite tiger. I love seeing him on the sidelines at football games.

How many athletes can say they make more after retirement than while playing?

Actually, the more I think about it, the sillier the question is. He's the highest profile & greatest athlete to play here in any sport, he's kept his nose clean and is a model citizen & he has an unrivaled, larger than life personality. No ones really close

Bobby Hebert would have to be a close second.

All I know is, I've never heard any other bigtime Athlete/celebrity represent their alma mater as many times as I've heard Shaq give LSU (and us common Louisiana folk) love on national tv. Louisiana is that man's real home.

Def. So glad he got his degree. Although these didn't make him famous, rapper, actor, own video game. Not many people can claim that on top of his basketball career. Oh and he stands out, not only for his size, but personality. Everyone knows shaq.

Anybody remember Dale coming on the news on April 1st after Shaq's sophomore year saying he and Shaq were leaving. Brown was going to take the Clippers job and was going to draft Shaq with the first pick. Freaked everyone out for about 10 minutes.

He used to come in a bar I owned when he was in College. He was always nice and polite drank water and insisted on paying a dollar for it. (When my bartenders would have given him anything he wanted for free.) He is a class act.

He's probably one of the most respected and well known ambassador of any university. I'm really having trouble coming up with a valid comparison.. Maybe Jack Nicklaus for OSU, but Shaq is a much more "modern" entity.

But most didn't make the cash Shaq made beasting in the paint and not beasting from the stripe
