You would think that chocolate is universal. Something that is everywhere, that everyone can enjoy. It's not. There's people who have never tried it, even the farmers who break their backs to harvest cocoa beans for a few cents in the Ivory Coast. Watch their faces light up when they eat it for the first time.

I am a big chocolate fan, and actually tried a cocoa bean while in St. Lucia one time. It was one of the worst things I have ever tasted!

I find it amazing that there are parts of the world that have never tasted chocolate.

Cool video.

I had a raw cocoa bean as a kid. I have yet to try it again. It was super bitter.

I'd imagine the bean taste something like those 90% dark chocolate bars. Super bitter. I don't know if that was the best flavor to try out for chocolate for the first time

Is that SpiderManTUba from the 10 cavities thread? Because that's what I picture his mouth to look like. 10 cavities. How does that even happen?

if you look at the skulls of people in industrial/renaissance times. The poors had better teeth than the rich. The reason?

The rich had better access to sugar.

Made all the difference.
