Need some Scooby Doo skillz

My wife is trying to surprise me with a trip on November 14 for an event that is happening on either November 14 or 15. Here is what she has told me:
It is a $250 flight from Alexandria. The plan is to leave on Friday and come back on Sunday.
It could be driven, which in her mind means a max of about 7-8 hour drive from Alexandria. That she looked a flying almost certain excludes any destination within 4 hours, except possibly Dallas or Houston.
She has hinted that the event is either on the evening of the 14th or during the day on the 15th and that we could come back on the 15th if we needed to.
Alexandria flights connect through Atlanta, Dallas or Houston. Some of the info could be smokescreen.
She claims that it is not a concert.
It could possibly be the LSU v. Arkansas game, but I am looking other possibilities.
Any ideas of what might be happening on the 14th that would fit (other than LSU v. Arkansas).
