Promo

At first I was conflicted, as I did not know if whites or blacks should be offended by this, but I actually smell a hit. Controversial attention grabber, with decent Anthony Anderson comedy, and Lawrence Fishburne as the wise grandfather all relaying a message and discussion that needs to be had in this country.

Watch the promo and tell me what you think...

I've seen the preview and I have zero interest.

I hate the premise of the show. There is no so think as "black culture." So a family of middle class blacks are having trouble "keeping it real" frick this show!

White-ish would be considered racist and the network would be sued.

Sensitive subject. It is absolutely insulting no matter how you spend it.

That's why 8 Mile was a movie and not a mini series...

I grew up on black sitcoms: Famly Matters, Living Single, Martin and the Wayne's Brothers. I think I turned out quite alright if I might say so as a white male.

yeah, but those shows were about people who just happened to be black.

It was not the actual focus of the show.

I think you're looking at this the wrong way. This seems like it is going to be Modern Familyish where they make fun of themselves most of the time and usually tie it up with a good message.

I bet they make fun of stupid things that are considered "black culture" constantly, while also promoting some of the positives it brings, and showing that we aren't so different from one another even if we may do some things differently.
In fact I saw a preview of them making fun of the custom of dressing in the "African costumes".

I think this show looks really funny

Should I be annoyed by this?

I'm not sure what you are trying to accomplish here.

Time will tell if this will be a hit. It could go either way. I don't really keep track of sitcom's but at least it's not on NBC or it would probably get canceled in the middle of its airing.

Ohhh...when I saw this on Reddit a month ago or so I though it was going to be a movie. Figured it could fill 2 hours and stay fresh and fun. There's no way I'm watching it as a sitcom.

Oh it's going to be God awful, and don't let the good initial ratings fool you. They have it going after Modern Family so that's what's going to give it it's good ratings at first.
