Just watched "Magnolia"

I don't know how I feel about this movie. The first two hours flew by and had me gripped to the screen, but from the 2 hour mark to 2:45 it got kind of bogged down in my opinion, but the ending was cool. I'll need to watch it again. It definitely reminded me of "Boogie Nights" with the continuos shots and what not, but I wish it was a little shorter

Love the opening to Magnolia. 2nd favorite opening, only to the GOAT movie opening, The Way of the Gun.

Yeah I liked it but didn't quite grasp it entirely when I watched it. I'll need to watch again and pay more attention.

Damn fine acting by everyone in this movie.
Crazy arse ending with the frogs but a solid emotional roller coaster.
Some people hate it but it is one of my favorites.

amazing movie but I enjoy movies like this one. Strange hard to understand but very well filmed.

1 of 2 movies I have ever walked out of before they were over. The other was... Summer of Sam. CSB!

Wow. Those are two movies I really dug.
That was the last Paul Thomas Anderson movie I was really over the moon about. The acting in it is flawless. I recall reading a critical take on it that compared the movie to The White Album by the Beatles...the rain of frogs is the movie's version of "Revolution #9"

I have a theory about that - the movie is so intense at spots - I think the frogs are just PTA's way of throwing a bucket of water on the audience and say, "Relax - it's just a movie."

It has as consistently good acting by a fairly large cast as you're going to find.

Movie is weird - almost Lynchian in strangeness - the tone and atmosphere he sets. I can understand how it would be off-putting to certain audiences.
I dug it - do I like it as much as Boogie Nights or There Will Be Blood? It's comparable. I still need to watch The Master.

Forgettable movie. For me anyway. Don't remember a thing about it.

It's one of the few movies where my opinion completely changed from first to second viewings.
Loved Boogie Nights at first then got sort of bored with it.
Hated Magnolia at first, now it's great.
