Non-PPR, standard scoring, 12 team league. I'm drafting 5th.

** (5) Team seawolf06 - Matt Forte RB
** (20) Team seawolf06 - Drew Brees QB
** (29) Team seawolf06 - Randall Cobb WR
** (44) Team seawolf06 - Frank Gore RB
** (53) Team seawolf06 - Rashad Jennings RB
** (68) Team seawolf06 - Julian Edelman WR
** (77) Team seawolf06 - Terrance Williams WR
** (92) Team seawolf06 - Fred Jackson RB
** (101) Team seawolf06 - Hakeem Nicks WR
** (116) Team seawolf06 - Jeremy Hill RB
** (125) Team seawolf06 - Jordan Reed TE
** (140) Team seawolf06 - Brandon LaFell WR
** (149) Team seawolf06 - Joe Flacco QB
** (164) Team seawolf06 - Charles Clay TE
** (173) Team seawolf06 - Saints D/ST D/ST
** (188) Team seawolf06 - Shayne Graham K

I could have waiting one more round for Flacco, but I know that after the 6th round, most people drop out of the mock drafts, so the later rounds aren't as realistic.

I probably wouldn't have gone Jennings in the 5th and gotten my WR2, then used the 6th to get my flex. But of course that's all dependent on what was still on the board, so I'm just speaking in generalities.

Other than that, I would say that in a 12-team league, I would be happy to go to war with that team.

Weak IMO. Brees and Forte are solid but a big dropoff after that. I like Cobb but I don't think he's a #1. Your late pick that could really pay dividens is Hakeem Nicks...or he could bust but I don't think so.

Unless you have to carry two TEs, I don't like doing it unless you had a value just fall in your lap. Charles Clay is a very easily waiver find.

A little high on Nicks and LaFell IMO. I probably would have opted for another RB rather than Clay.

If you are willing to go short on one RB or one WR for a second TE, grab a top defense because you'll definitely more points from a top defense than you will out of a reserve TE.

fairly weak

Gore will chug along, but could have gotten another RB (like Jennings in round 5) as your RB2.

I would have used Round 4 selection on a WR. Someone like Cruz, AJohnson, etc.

What's everyone's opinion on Lafell in NE? I got him late in my auction draft, but I'm thinking about dropping him for Cody Latimer or Nick Toon

ETA: I'm also thinking about dropping James Jones for Martavis Bryant. It's an auction keeper league too

Terrible draft. Good first three picks, after that it's just crap. Pure crap.

ETA: I do like Terrance Williams and Jordan Reed a lot this year. So good picks there, IMO.

..looking at what they had last year, he's an upgrade for nearly everyone at WR.

Thanks for the input. I won the first year and came in 5th last year.

I think you did great in rounds 3-4, is Randall Cobb really going that late in PPR this year?

This was a 12 team Non-PPR.

In standard scoring slot 5, anyone thinking Petyon or Brees worth getting? I'm learning that this is a real shitty draft position.

I think taking a WR with your 2nd pick and a QB where you took Edelman would have given you a much better squad.

This is who was picked in rounds 2 and 3. I like Alshon and Julio a lot, but are they better picks than Brees?

What QBs were available when you took Edelman? That will give you a better idea of the tradeoff.

Robert Griffin III QB
Russell Wilson QB
Matt Ryan QB
Tom Brady QB
Tony Romo QB

In hindsight, it does seem that waiting until round 8 or 9 for a QB would be ok. I'd probably take Ryan or Brady over Griffin/Wilson though.

I try not to ever draft Brees in my mock drafts. Just because I know some a**wipe is going to take him in round 1 or very early 2nd in our real draft.

To me a core of:

QB - Brady/Ryan
WR1 - Julio Jones
WR2 - Randall Cobb
RB1 - Matt Forte
RB2 - Frank Gore
TE - Jordan Reed
FLEX - Rashad Jennings

Looks MUCH better than:

QB - Drew Brees
WR1 - Randall Cobb
WR2 - Julian Edelman
RB1 - Matt Forte
RB2 - Frank Gore
TE - Jordan Reed
FLEX - Rashad Jennings
