What ya got? I'm going with:

Cal Ripken Jr.'s Consecutive Games Played Streak-- 2,632
Nolan Ryan's Career Strikeout Record-- 5,714
Cy Young's Career Wins Record-- 511
Emmitt Smith's Career Rushing Yards--18,355
Jerry Rice's Most Consecutive Games w/ a Reception-- 274
Atlanta Braves-- 14 Straight Division Titles

Just a sample of greatness here....What else?

ETA: Braves record

Disagree, AP is a legit threat

Maybe not, just looked and he's 29 thought he was younger. Coupled with his ACL tear that may wind up taking a year or two of his career.

Cy Young's career loss record. No pitcher will ever be that shitty.

These unbreakable records are ultimately set by 20+ years of greatness or changes in the game (most notably baseball).

However, Emmitt Smith's record is not in the same tier as these other records.

He's 8,000 yards away and he's almost 30.

I can see Smith's being broken. Peterson's already at over 10,000 and he's not even 30 yet. And I know about an RB's shelflife, but still, I don't think it's that untouchable. If AD plays for eight more seasons, he'd only have to average 1,050 yards per season to get there (and you'd certainly think his next three or four years he'll average well over that number).

ETA: Discussed above.

i think this is the most unbreakable all. Did you know he had a 66 game streak in the minors? ridiculous. And that wasn't even the minor league record
add Favre's streak in there. it's like 250ish?

That could be four or five seasons.

Or three in his mind.

This is disgusting. That's 17 straight seasons with a catch in every game.

I actually think it's most breakable from the list above. All the other ones require an entire career of dominance. Theoretically, you need 3 months of great, consistent hitting to break DiMaggio's streak

I wouldn't put it past AP because he's a freak but given the history of running backs falling off a cliff at 30, I can't see him averaging 1500 yards for the next 5-6 seasons. If he does, hed probably be the GOAT
