The Resident Stoneheads are incapable of intellectual agility.

Ever notice how the Resident Stonehead Obama-Lovers never change their minds about anything involving their Dear Leader?
They love him no matter what. Obama's tenure is now six years old, and his policies are causing real harm to real people.
What about our Resident Stoneheads? Complete and immutable support for their Hero, just as though today was Obama's first day in office.
Contrast these Stoneheads with Bush supporters, most of whom were very critical at times.
What value can a thoughtful person place on the opinion of a Stonehead?
I value the opinions of people who can reason, learn, and intellectually grow. Such folks are capable of changing their minds on things, based on new evidence and agile reasoning.
But, Stoneheads are not like that at all, are they? Their minds are as immutable as stone. That's why I call them The Stoneheads.

I have changed my mind about many things over the years, and, I was capable of objective analysis and criticism of Bush.
Your response is essentially, "I know you are but what am I."
By the way, you are definitely one of The Stoneheads. The measure of your intellectual agility around here cannot be quantified using positive numbers. What I mean is: you can do better. Maybe you are lazy.

It's beyond laughable you think your post is reasonable political discourse. What a shitty thread this is. Downvote.

What's it going to take for you to eventually conclude that some of Obama's policies are wrong-headed and causing real harm?
What will it take for you to conclude that he's not been as good as advertised?

Not laughing at you Tigah, but that was a damn good insult. That one's definitely going to be used on a family member in the near future.
Threat hijack; DS, good 40,000th post. Why'd it get deleted?

I've felt this way a bunch of times. I have been as critical of Obamacare as anyone on this site.
the difference is that the reasons I don't like it aren't at all the same reasons that someone like you probably doesn't like it.

I concluded this about 3 years ago

your post is unworthy of a response. It begs its question & is just chum for idiot-sharks.
All it takes to be an Obama lover on this board is to not think he is the worst President ever. You are what you accused Rex of being during W's term.

It's not reasonable political discourse, it's an indictment of The Stoneheads.
The Stoneheads need to be called out, because they see themselves as the smartest people around here.
How smart are they, really, when after six long years of this administration, they have never changed course and never stopped their vigorous defense of their Dear Leader?
I'm going to be prepared to admit that I'm wrong about this, so, I'll be reading and looking for evidence that I'm wrong here. We'll see.

Thanks for your honest input. I'm especially impressed that you can agree that some of Obama's policies are causing harm to real people.
So, Obama's not Leftist enough for you? For some of his critics, this is the primary basis of the dissent -- Obama's not Leftist enough.
You are not a part of that group of critics, I take it?

I disagree. I don't get excited about oversimplified opinions, even if I like that opinion!
Obama sucks, but, I would not start a thread with that title. That's too oversimplified.

it's a little more complicated than just right vs left, although he certainly has sold out his liberal base on a number of occasions

Indeed so. I agree.
Thanks.
Thanks.

I'm departing for the evening.
Since I have indicted all Stoneheads who are Obama supporters, I will also challenge myself to endeavor to avoid being Stoneheaded when it comes to my opinion of any particular Obama policy.
I have tried to do so in the past, and, I'll continue. Avoiding Stoneheadedness requires effort for every human being.

You're preaching to the choir, and the choir is laughing at how dumb your sermon is.
