Since I started up previews for both of the Summer Leagues and we have reached a slow-point in the NBA (and it may be a little late but I apologize), I put together this article:

What I Learned In Summer League Is...

Who were some of your favorite players you watched, who surprised you and who are you most excited to watch this coming season

Wasn't sold on Trey Burke when he came into the NBA. Still not.

Hes gotta grow up fast for Utah.

Nice write up.

FWIW, I think Russ Smith was passed on more because of his size instead of his age. He's listed as 6 foot but that's being generous. He's a hell of a player though and has the work ethic to stay in the league for awhile.

Nick Johnson became one of my favorites. I think he can play a nice role this year

I saw very little of him when he was at N.C. State because...well, he was at N.C. State but he's becoming one of my favorite rookies. He's so fun to watch on offense

He had a better year in the same league as the #2 pick, he shouldn't surprise anyone.

I agree about Burke. It's a shame because I got the chance to meet him last month and he's a really nice kid. He's going to get passed up by Exum and get traded IMO

If Wiggins gets traded to the Twolves they may be worth a league pass selection: LINK

Didn't get to see Lavine, but I'm stoked to watch McDermott here in Chicago. I'm trying to get on covering the Bucks to do a big Jabari rookie season piece if I can get media credentials.

Who do you write for if you don't mind me asking?

Yeah, Chicago is going to be dangerous if they stay health, and I think Milwaukee can at least be exciting to watch with Parker/Giannis/Henson and Sanders. They probably can't all start but that's four fun athletes

I don't write at the moment, I do on camera stuff right now. Im the reporter for the Chicago area for a Sports Marketing firm. They have lots of connections with professional athletes, and it got me an interview w/ Taj last week. In the spring or later this fall I'm going to be on DePaul TV so I'm hoping with one of the two I get a chance to cover him.

I love following young teams, so I hope that league pass lets me watch them on there since were only about 80 miles away

Milwaukee has serious potential too if their young core keeps improving
